Shoppers in Greater Raleigh find themselves in a retail paradise. Within about a 20-mile radius, there are five major malls; hundreds of strip shopping centers; and several unique, outdoor shopping centers such as City Market and Cameron Village. Flea Markets
There's a long-standing flea market every weekend (except State Fair weeks) at the State Fairgrounds in west Raleigh that, over the years, has become as much a social event as a shopping experience. A large indoor flea market is also held at 1924 Capital Boulevard, just south of the I-440 Beltline.
Furniture
High Point has the largest furniture market in the world. While it's not open to the general public, the market has generated hundreds of manufacturers' and retail outlets in the area.
Outlets
Outlets abound in the area. Close to home are Triangle Factory Shops in Morrisville and Tower Shopping Center on US 64 in east Raleigh. Major outlet centers are also found within an hour's drive in Burlington (west on I-40) and in Smithfield (east along I-95).
